Sad Songs for When You Need Them

Back in the ’90’s, I went through a breakup. It was hard. I thought the tears would never stop and I’d never find love again. But they did, and I did, and the rightness of this love makes it clear that that love was meant to happen and fail.

Relationship aside, the best thing to come out of that time was an appreciation for a truly tragic love song. Here are a few of the songs that have given me the purification of soul that comes from wallowing in sadness. Because sometimes a good cry is the best release of all.
